U.S. boarding schools

Institution-level facts only, each with its source and check date. Boarding status starts as a candidate (from TABS membership in the NCES survey, or Wikidata matched to the SEVP list) until we confirm it on the school’s own website.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose a role after I sign up?

Open My roles (Account › My roles), pick the role that fits you — student, parent, school staff, study-abroad agent, U.S. guardian service, or exchange program organization — fill in the short form and accept the terms for that role. Each account has one role.

Can I have more than one role?

No. Each USAnaru™ account has one role, so nothing gets mixed up — messages, tasks and checks all belong to that role. For another role, sign up with another email. A student and a parent each have their own account and link them from My family.

How is each role checked?

Students and parents: your verified email. School staff: active right away; an email on the school's web domain shows you as verified staff. Agents and guardian services: our team checks the business registration. Exchange program organizations: the State Department J-1 sponsor list or the CSIET F-1 list plus your email domain.

What am I responsible for in a role?

Give accurate, current information that you are authorized to share, never share other people's personal data without permission, and follow the terms for your role. False or misleading information can be removed, and the role or account can be suspended.

Is USAnaru™ an agent or a visa adviser?

No. USAnaru™ gives information and introductions. We are not an agent, J-1 sponsor, F-1 program organization, school, or visa or legal adviser.
