About USAnaru™
Your crossing to the right U.S. school.
A naru (나루) is a ferry landing — the place where you cross the river. USAnaru™ aims to be that crossing point for international students and families looking at schools in the United States.
What USAnaru™ is
USAnaru™ is a U.S. school information service for international students, their families and the agents who help them. We start with boarding schools: where they are, which grades they teach, how large they are, and whether they are certified to enroll international students on an F-1 visa.
Where the information comes from
- The NCES Private School Universe Survey (PSS) — the U.S. Department of Education's survey of private schools, published as a public-domain file. It gives each school's address, grades, enrollment, teachers and affiliations.
- The SEVP certified-school list published by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security — the schools that are certified to issue the Form I-20 that F-1 students need.
- Each school's own website, for details that change every year (tuition, deadlines, programs).
Every fact we show carries its source and the date we last checked it. A school is marked as a boarding-school candidate until we have confirmed boarding on the school's own website. We do not fill gaps with guesses.
What we don't do
- We are not a school, a government agency or an admissions office. We do not issue visas or Forms I-20, and we cannot guarantee admission to any school.
- We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of State, the Department of Homeland Security (including SEVP and ICE), the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) or any school listed on the site.
- We publish information about institutions only. We never publish personal information about students or families.
Always confirm admissions, tuition, visa and immigration requirements with the school and with official U.S. government sources before you make a decision.
Information and introductions
Beyond school information, USAnaru™ connects students and parents with verified people and organizations who can help — schools, agents, guardian services and J-1 sponsors. We introduce; we do not act as an agent, a sponsor or a visa adviser.
